lab puppy 4months 10days old

my lab is 4 months 10 days old. i use to feed him 8am-drools (puppy-chkn) 100 gms, 1 pm-rice and chkn( 125gm), 6 pm-2chappati with some doogy sauce or milk, 10pm- same as 1 pm. it was all fine a week before, suddenly he choose to eat less and lesser. waited for 3 days but nothing improved. before she used to finish her bowl with in minutes but now she is not interested in foods. took her to vet, he told to keep the food just 2 times a day, and provided with 4 supplements. also informed that due to her anal gland deposit and a bit fever she is not eating.ok. followed. now giving her drools 11 am and rice and chkn -9 pm, in between some treats, still she is not interested in her main foods moreover she started to vomit in the early morning ( bile vomit ), tried again the same food routine to avoid long gaps, prevented her from drinking excess water. otherwise she is same as before in every way, drinking water, good stool, good urine, playful etc.

any help or suggestion will be very much appreciated..... we are very worried, if she doesn't eat we cannot eat happily ........ please help

Some dogs can get particular about the flavors of their food.  I would test her to see if she likes peanut butter, cheese, canned unsalted green beans, carrots (some dogs like raw carrots), bananas, and tuna.  Do not test her on any other people foods, as some are bad for dogs.  If you find that one taste that drives her bonkers for more, then begin mixing very small amounts of it into her food, maybe with a bit on top to entice her to eat.  Do not allow her that particular flavor at any other time, so she knows it's coming at mealtime.

I see you are from India?  I am not sure if you are feeding dog food you buy or are cooking it at home.

Do you worm puppies there routinely?  Do the Vets check a dog's stool sample for parasites?  The puppy may need to be wormed.

The fact it has a fever may be of some concern,  did the Vet take any blood to check?

Is there any chance the puppy ate something it should not have eaten?

Why did the Vet give supplements and what are they?

I would be feeding the puppy 3 times a day.  I would stop giving any treats and see if it will start eating meals.

Dogs will sometimes vomit bile because their stomachs are empty and irritated.  You might ask the Vet for something to help settle her stomach and try giving her a small meal before bed and wet food would be better.

The dog may be sensitive to what you are feeding and need a diet change.

Hope the pup gets better.
