abcess or cyst?

Hi guys my bf's sisters boxer has a huge lump on his rear end near the hole it doesn't seem to bother him when we put pressure on it but it is big. its not hard when we touch it its more of a watery type cyst. the dog an adult male that has not been nurtured. any suggestion as what this might be? Please help!

hi guys sorry its so late back but it was not a absses its just a ball of blood i guess. the dr took some samples and drained it said to come back if it gets big again which it did so im hopeing to take him back and get the results. thanks for the concerns.

Agree with Misfits.  Sounds like an infected gland.  Trip to the Vet is in order

Sounds like an Abcessed Anal Gland....What you DON"T want is for it to rupture!

A trip to the Vet is necessary...They will drain it & put the dog on oral antibiotics for the infection...If it ruptures on it's own, it's a nightmare.......Good luck   Karla
