loss of bowel control
I have a 14 1/2 year old Dalmation. He is losing control of his bowels. Goes when he is walking, sleeping, etc. Poor guy tries to get out the door, but usually leave a trail from his bed through the door. Sometimes leave a trail coming back in. Is there anything we can do to help? I have tried giving plain, low fat and fat free yogurt to calm his system, although he likes the yogurt and is more apt to eat his food, it doesn't really seem to do much for the lack of control. I know he is old and probably has a short time left, but do you have any ideas?
Does he have diarrhea, or is his stool normal, but he just can't hold it?
I think You need to take him in to see a veterinarian, you are right though his age would be the major impact
