Sorry, can't remember the brand but you can usually get it, I think in a green can, at some pet stores. Call around and ask
Try feeding canned, green tripe
Can you see if she'll eat some homemade food? Near the end for my Petie (who had heart & kidney failure), it wasn't so important WHAT he ate but just THAT he ate. I would make a mixture of chicken breasts, white rice, mashed-up carrots, peas & corn, chicken broth and shredded cheese. He ate that for a couple of months. I did this after he stopped eating his prescription dog food.
It is not all that unusual to see this. My own puppy had some mucus covered stool the other day. It is usually due to some bowel irritation. She is fine now.
That being said, due to the age of your dog and the lack of appetite, I would be concerned. Have you given her mouth a good inspection for any sign of infection? Have you changed or added any new foods or treats?
If it were my dog, especially due to the age, I would make a Vet appt, take in a fresh stool sample for analysis and would assume the Vet would at least recommend a blood panel be done. There might be liver or kidney issues going on or a possible infection and the blood work would give you a better idea of what may be going on.
This "may" be self-limiting but I think I would get that checked out ASAP. Just like us and the aging process, things start to go wrong.
Good luck and keep us posted.
