No, you should not give a dog tylenol. Small doses might not poison him, but it's not "safe" and will not help. Asprin can cause stomach bleeding, especially if your dog is ill. Your pug should see a vet for a safe painkiller or fever reducer.

What kind of symptoms does your dog have?  Have you been to a vet?

I wouldn't give a dog Human medicine, with the exception of some herbs (not all) and homoeopathic (which are quite safe)
If you already have done, I'm sure it'll be ok. But it's not generally a good idea. Go get a doggy-painkiller from the vet.

I searched the web for the anwser to your questin. All sites said small amounts of tylenol were safe for dogs, short term but never, never for cats.

There is a specific site by a  DVM that states you may give your dog small doses of acetaminophen (Tylenol). The exact dose was not stated. He also states asprin is safe for dogs, short term use only. But tylenol is never, ever safe for cats.

I would search the web and find more specific information regarding dosage.

Good luck, Tuckamore
