My 7 week old puppy fell on his head and now his eye is red.

Okay so, I picked up my new puppy three days ago and yesterday, we were on the bed and I took my eyes off him for a second to scratch my face and he went from the middle of the bed to the edge and I went to grab him but couldn't and he hit his head. I picked him up and he was fine. He did wince when I touched his head. He's eating, sleeping and playing like normal. He has slept quite a bit since I've had him.

But today, I noticed he had a red patch on his eye (he sleeps with his eyes slightly open). It looks like a popped vessel or something. I'm so worried about him.

He was due his injection this Wednesday which is when his insurance starts. I feel so bad, I took my eye off him for a second when I should've known better.

I know it's something to worry about but it's 12am on a Saturday so I don't know any vets that are open :( Is there any warning signs of anything serious I should look out for?

He really should have been checked over as soon as he fell, or at least by the next day.  Since that was not done, you should really try to get him into the clinic in the morning (Saturday, 9/24) because head injuries are not to be fooled around with.  In the meantime, watch out for abnormalities in his walking, does he squint when he looks at things, look for vomiting or seemingly being off balance.  The fact that he now appears to have a broken blood vessel in his eye needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY to make sure there are no lasting ill effects.  It's fine to say that his insurance starts in Wednesday but even if it's not in effect yet he needs to go to the vet.
