ENT MEDICAL FORUM

Hi everyone,

As I understand it, the "Ask A Doctor", Ear, Nose and Throat Forum is (hopefully) just temporarily no longer available. If I don't know an answer to a question, I usually refer to this forum. Since we may not have it for a while, I am asking anyone who has had experience in a situation that is complicated to please help because personal experience is extremely helpful with certain surgeries and diagnosis. I know we can work together and help each other as much as possible.

I thank all of you for your input and I encourage everyone to add their experiences with such surgeries and procedures to the Health Pages.

Thank you all for being part of this community.  Please email me with suggestion and comments.

Melissa

I experience air blowing out of the inner corners of my eyes when I blow my nose.  I recently was very ill with a headcold or something and blew my nose a lot.  Now the corners of my eys are a bit raw and sore where I can feel the air coming from.  When I have mentioned this before eben to a healhcare provider they acted like no such thing was possible.  Have you ever come across this before? What might cause this and should I be concerned?

I have three boys.  All have had ENT problems, including myself.  It's a family affair.  Boy number one had 3 or 4 sets of tubes.  He out grew his ear infections.  Boy number two just got third set and permanent tubes on Jan 6th.  Boy number three goes in Jan 29th to get second set of tubes plus removal of adnoids, tonsils, GI scope and biopsy. Boy three was premature and has had breathing and allergy issues.  I do not have a medical background just experiences.  I'm looking for support in upcoming surgery and would like to share helpful information.

Hi Melissa,

I'd be more than happy to help out as well. I've had 6 sinus surgeries over the past 18 months, I have extensive personal sinus knowledge, immune system knowledge, allergy knowledge, amongst other health concerns that I'd be more than happy to share.

Please feel free to message me anytime with questions, comments, anything!

Take care!
