Sore throat, antibiotics or not?

Hi
I started with a scratchy throat then it became more sore, I also coughed due to the soreness in my throat.  After 4-5 days I was a little congested and sneezed along with my very sore throat.  I did not have white spots in my throat, I've never had fever and body aches.  I just had a very sore throat that made it hard to swallow and congestion, I only coughed due to the soreness in my throat.  The doctor prescribed antibiotics for me.  Do you think I needed them.. My doctor is always giving me antibiotics when I have an inflamed sore throat.  I'm very concerned about this as I already took 4 packs of antibiotics.  Can you help please.??  Thanks
