Why does it feel like a ball of mucus is sitting in my throat?

When I was younger I could sing really good. I could hit the high and low notes. Now for some reason it feels like there is a ball of mucus sitting in my throat. I don't k No if it could be because I take allergy medicine now or what but I would really like to sing like I used to and hit all notes.

That happens to me when I sing too much and then it feels like there's a ball of mucus in my throat,
Go a while before singing again like 24 hours then it should go back to normal I think.
I'm only saying what helped for me
