earache

I HAVE THIS EARACHE FOR ABOUT A MONTH NOW. BEEN TO MY DOCTOR HE SENT ME TO ENT. DOCTOR PRESCRIBE ME SOME ANTIBIOTIC/STEROIDS EAR DROPS. THAT WASNT WORKING SO I WENT TO THE ER. THEY ALSO GAVE ME EAR DROPS AND ANTIBIOTICS TO TAKE ORALLY. WAITED BOUT 5 DAYS WENT BACK TO ER. DR. THERE LOOK IN MY EAR AND SAYS THAT IT LOOK GRAY IN IT. WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT DOES THAT MEAN. THAT ALSO TOOK A CAT SCAN AND EVERYTHING LOOK NORMAL.  BUT IM STILL HAVING EAR PAIN IN MY LEFT EAR. THE HOSPITAL GAVE ME PAIN MEDS. DOCTOR FROM THE ER TOLD ME TO STOP TAKING THE EAR DROPS. CAUSE REALLY IT WASNT HELPING. SO IF THERES ANYONE HAVE A SUGGESTION PLEASE IM IN NEED OF SOME HELP HERE. CANNOT TAKE THIS PAIN ANY LONGER. ITS DRIVING ME UP A WALL. PLEASE HELP! THANK YOU!

Hello and hope you are doing well.

The tympanic membrane is usually translucent. If it is dull or altered, it could mean an inner ear infection. Once the infection resolves the pain should subside. Continue with the antibiotics and complete the course.

I have also has earache and sore throat, cough, many have where I live in CA theres almost an epidemic..the waiting rooms are full especially children .I think its environmental allergies caused by the spraying they are doing .
