Amoxicillin

I was prescribed Amoxicillin a couple days ago for strep throat and an ear infection and when I opened the bottle to take it I noticed that it smelled bad. I don't know if it's normal or not so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

thank you. I can't describe the smell but it does stink. I have to go to the pharmacy tomorrow anyway because they shorted me on my son liquid antibiotics cuz he has it too so I am going to ask them tomorrow. Thank you very much

Take it to a pharmacist and have it checked.  Amoxicillin is a relative onf penicillin which can have a smell to it.  They are both derived from bread mold.  If it smells a little like moldy bread then it should be fine.
