I had a busted eardrum that has healed but my ear is still bleeding and when I sniff in I can taste the blood what can this be
is somebody solve this promblem.. same problem as mine
Does post nasal drip with a sinus infection make you feel as though you always have a dry mouth or just a bad taste in your mouth!!
According to a study by the Mayo Clinic, a sinus infection, in most cases, is caused by infected snot in your sinuses, and the toxins from the bacteria or virus or mold, and the white blood cells attacking the microbes, irritate and damage the mucus membrane. The antibiotics sometimes have a hard time getting to this infected mucus, and the mass can sometimes remain in your sinuses indefinitely, although in most people it does not.
I had a infection living in my sinuses for 5 years, resistant to all the antibiotics, and corticosteroids that I took, until I flushed it out with the technique I developed. It merely proves the Mayo Clinic theory.
So does this mean that the infection lingers until more medication is taken? Could that possible be why it has not gone away yet?
A weeks worth of antibiotics sometimes doesn't work for a sinus infection, because there isn't much bloodflow to deliver the antibiotic to the infection site. Besides, sinus infection fits a different medical model, than say, an ear infection. My journal explains it.

The journal also has the Flip-Turn Sinus Flush, which removes almost any sinus infection, but it has its risks, so I won't recommend it until you have gone the full antibiotic route. A Neilmed Sinus Rinse will help you at this time, with less risk, but it only reaches the lower sinuses.
If your dr. is not an ENT specialist, you certainly need to see one for a more thorough examination which is done right there in his office with an endoscope (painless in the hands of an expert). I don't think the dog has anything to do with it. The bloody mucus is certainly something that needs to be checked out. Could be something as simple as irritated membranes. I did have bloody drainage for a long time once after an infection; this bloody drainage occurred with my nightly sinus irrigation, it wasn't from the irrigation, but the irrigation just was washing it out.
