Menier's , cause and effect?

HI, I was told I have meniere's disease about 15 years ago(age 13). Progressively it has been getting worse.. My vertigo is so crippling sometimes and my hearing loss has gotten to the point I have to wear hearing aids. I have noticed over the past few days that I am getting more waves or vertigo and the normal pain in my ears has doubled. I just discovered a lump on my mastoid bone ( behind my ear on the skull ) its hard and in does not move. From what I have read it doesn't seem too alarming but I am worried that my disease has progressed to the point that inflammation is causing infections and lumps. Please help me , I need to know if I should make an appointment or just let it go and see what happens. Is it more alarming due to my history? thanks for the help
