Post Nasal Drip

Hello, I only joined this forum in the hope I may get some tips on how to alleviate some of  the problems I have with this complaint, I think I must have suffered with Post nasal drip for a  couple of years. The very worst and most depressing  symptom I have is the awful feeling of thick phlegm at the back of my throat some days it makes me gag.
When I went to see the Doctor, they did different tests and diagnosed Post Nasal Drip along with Acid Reflux, I am loads better but nobody seems to be able to give me anything that gets rid of this awful feeling, constantly clearing of the throat and this thick mucus or whatever in the back of my throat.
There moan over :) feels better just to write it down.
Flossy.

Thank you very much for responding to my post.
First let me wish you good look for Friday, I hope things will improve for you once you get over the operation.
I have had the camera up through my nostril, they could only get it up through the left side but didn't say anything to me about not being able to get it in the right side!
I had a Barium meal to check on my swallowing and a camera down into my stomach.

Nothing they have given me as helped, but I am due back at the Doctors for a review in September, I'm then going to insist that they sort it out.
Chocolate makes me worse, I don't like milk anyway so don't drink it.
I can put up with a lot but its the feeling of gagging that I hate.

Good luck for Friday.

Flossy.

In also have had really bad post nasal drip for years and earlier this year in april my dog died and prbably cried more than i have ever before which did not help at all soon after that i started feelin a mild soar throat specially on the left side the pain started becoming stonger and really annoying but i had no other symptoms 2 months in to it i went to the doctors he gave me a culture swab came normal negative for strep so he sent me to a ent the ent made me a endoscopy when he tried sticking the camera up my left nostril it would just not go through then he stuck it in my right nostril he said my tonsils both sides look inflamed specially my left tonsil and i had a ton of mucus in the back of my throat he told a had a deviated septum all the guk thats supposed come out through my nose was dripping down to my throat and my tonsils were really backed up with lots of phlem and due to the post nasal dripping constantly there was some kinda infection somewhere along there.  Usually every normal person will produce 1-2 quarts of mucus so imagen all that crap all up in you throat maybe you have adeviated septum and you just dont know it you also gotta be carefull with what you eat i cant drink milk or anything with lots of milk cause forget it i get all kinds of mucus an my nose gets stuffy.  This friday i get my tonsils out and deviated septum corrected.  you know sometimes if you take certains meds they give you lots of mucus also maybe its a side effect well the best thing to do is to go with a ent.  Hope this has helped and if it hasnt i hope you find some kind of solution and sorry for my grammar i am not the sharpest.
