thatnks for your reply..my daughter seen the ent doc yesterday and i feel alot better, she is having her tonsils and adenolds took out next month. the ent said it is so much safer and is a out patient surgery. again thanks so much
Sorry you haven't gotten any reply, seems tonsillectomy is not as popular as it was long ago, back in the dark ages, 1950 or so.
I still have my tonsils as do my children and wife.. and almost everyone I know. Still I do recall a classmate having his out at about the age of 10, and all I remember was he said he could eat only ice cream for a short period. I don't recall how long, but I guess no more than a day, two maximum. When I heard this I though - "boy, sounds good to me".
I understand your caution/concern, but I am sure the operation is even simpler today, and it was no "big deal" back then.
