Thanks mam, I have done EMG test twice and it was normal. I have also done CPK test it was also normal. Doctors are sure that its not muscle related disorder. One of my CT SCAN REPORT shows CALCIFIC FOCUS IN RIGHT SIDE PARAPHARYNGEAL REGION and i am having continuous pain in this region since January 2011. i searched with this sentence on google and got information about inner ear tumor. One radiologist from POONA HOSPITAlL told me that if there is problem in ossicles(three tiny bones) then this things happen and it is evaluated by BERA. I request you if possible, if you get time then please guide me about this.
thanks again.
Hello and hope you are doing well.
I understand what you are going through. If there is a problem with the muscles, it should show up in the EMG. But sometimes inflammatory muscular disorders may need a muscle biopsy. Myasthenia gravis is a neuromuscular disease in which symptoms include eye weakness, facial expression weakness, and difficulty swallowing. Your symptoms could also be due to this disorder, but here there is weakness of the muscles. This is diagnosed by an edrophonium test. Check with your doctor to rule out this disorder.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
hello mam, thanks a lot for your reply. I just returned to home from consultation with VERY EXPERIENCED ENT SURGEON IN MY CITY AND READ YOUR REPLY. (I am from Nashik,Maharashtra) This doctor didn't listen me, only his assistant checked my previous report and checked outer ear only;then said its otalgia and other symptoms are due to mental tension.
Mam I swear I am not lying. India's one of the best neurophysician Dr. Satish Khadilkar told me its not neurological as well as psychological. Now I am suffering too much. One thing I mistaken in my post is that its not muscle spasm in my throat its clicking and twithing. Will you post me your clinic address I am ready to come at your side.
Again many many thanks for your reply. I am waiting for your next reply.
Hello and hope you are doing well.
The cause could be an inner ear problem with your symptoms of tinnitus, dizziness and pain. It could be due to Meniere’s disease, which is a condition in which there is an excess of fluid in the inner ear. The excess fluid disturbs the ear’s balance and hearing mechanisms and causes tinnitus, dizziness and deafness. Medications such as Valium and Compazine are prescribed to decrease the severity of the symptoms. If max medical therapy fails then surgical therapy like labyrinthectomy, vestibular nerve section and endolymphatic sac procedures are done.
Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
