About two years ago, I was rear-ended in my car (minor accident with some whiplash), approximately one year later (could be completely unrelated from accident), I started having intense dizziness/vertigo and back of head pain/aches that migrates to frontal head pain, sometimes stabbing pains in ears, sometimes ringing too. I had an MRI and CAT Scan of both Head and Sinuses. Everything was fine, but I was found at that time to have fluid in my sinuses and was then sent to see an ENT and Neurologist. First saw the ENT who put me on Levaquin which didn't seam to improve my symptoms much and then Prednisone, really no improvement. I started receiving allergy shots for Ragweed and Grass. Day of my first shot I went to ER for chest pains and difficulty breathing, was told I probably have asthma and was given an inhaler. After pulmonary function tests, an Eco-cardio gram, blood work, thyroid tests, x-rays of my chest, and an upper GI all results came back fine but I did have very slight upper GI problems. I then saw a Neurologist who told me that my headaches had to be from the car accident, since I had no prior history and then sent me to a Chiropractor and told me to establish an exercise routine with stretching. I started taking yoga. Still had headaches. Because, there was still fluid in my sinuses, I was also given more antibiotics from my PCP this time, which didn't help much. My ENT then did sinus surgery. Two months after surgery, I was put on Amoxicillian for three weeks because my new CT scan of sinuses had some fluid. While on Amoxicillian this time, I felt pretty well. Almost functionable. After the three weeks of Amoxicillian were up, dizziness has come back with headaches in back of head, and the ringing started in my ears today. Meclizine and Ibuprofen don't help much either. Can I say that I'm beyond frustrated!
