nasal discharge

three weeks ago i had an abcess in my mouth which i was prescribed antibiotics for and 3 days ago i had the tooth removed but ever since i had the abcess before the tooth was removed i have had green,smelly discharge coming from my nose and now there is no abcess or tooth i still have this problem and if anything i am now very concerned as i thought having the tooth removed would solve the problem but it hasn't i am still taking antibiotics but it just seems to be getting worse than better i have spoken to my dentist she has advised me to go to e.n.t at my local hospital but when i spoke to my gp she says it is down to my dentist to refer me i am in need of some advice as to what to do!

What was the outcome? My daughter has had a absess tooth and is now experiencing the same symptoms.

the infection from a tooth abcess can go into your maxillary sinuses and cause sinusitis.  An ENT is the best person to treat that. Tell your GP you have acute sinusitis and to refer you for that. It may take antibiotics over the course of several weeks to cure it.
