tonsillitis for 2months

Hi I've had viral tonsillitis for two months now when I eat it feels like food is gettin stuck and my throat feels really tight and i get a pain on my right side of my neck when I swallow also I have a lot of plehgm all the time plz help anyone what should I do as cant see gp till tuesday

Tonsillitis is infectious, mostly caused by viruses & bacteria (streptococcus). Continuing, undiagnosed, or re-occurring infections can lead to chronic tonsillitis which will take longer to heal .Tonsil stones, are formed when trapped debris hardens, or calcifies. This tends to occur most often in people who suffer from chronic inflammation in their tonsils or repeated bouts of tonsillitis. Ensure sufficient intake of zinc,B  complex vitamins and vitamin C.It is best to see an ENT specialist and discuss your queries. Hope it helps.
