worried

if u have ear herpes will u automatically go deaf...can antivirals help?

The term shingles is generally used to refer to a varicella zoster reactivation (herpes zoster).

well i believe i was recently infected with hsv-1 and i think it affected my eyes and ears yet i cant find anything with hsv-1 affecting the ears it just says shingles?

Not necessarily.  Are you talking about herpes zoster oticus?  If you do have this, antivirals and steroids are generally prescribed.  But without additional symptoms (beyond the lesions) these are not always used.  There are other skin lesions that could mimic herpes too.
