life after loss of young wife
I just lost my wife fromALS. she was 49, i am 41. i have 3 young kids 10,12,14. i find myself talking to my dead wife when i am alone. Does this mean i'm losing it?
Dr. Gould, Thank you for answering my post. If I find myself "talking" to my wife at all times and i seek answers, i will go see a professional. At this point, I do know the difference. Thanks again for answering me so fast. Scott585

No, not at all...sorry to hear about your profound loss....grief takes many forms, and talking to the image in your head that represents the memory of your life, is not uncommon...she is still a prescence in your mind. But if the line between memory and reality becomes blurred for you at some time, then you should seek professional help to sort it out.
