no more periods

Hi,

i am 23 years old and have had difficulties with eating since i was raped two years ago, i did go and get help, and talked to people but at the time the only way I could cope was by controling my eating habits and I couldnt tell people at the time. I know I have body image problems, i cry when I look in the mirror, and cant stand what i see. I really limit the amount of food i eat to under 300 calories a day, when I eat a "big" meal I make myself sick, and I cant stop myself and its every second thought I have in the day, I cant escape it.
I now weigh 7 and a half stone and I am 5 5. my periods have stopped as well i havent had one for over a year and I am really scared. My partner wants to start a family but I am really worried about telling him. What I would like to know is

will my periods come back and will i be able to have a family
do you think that I need to get help with my eating habits

Please help, i am so afraid

There is no question about it, you must get help, and yes, with help and weight gain you can get your periods back, and have a family. do it, it is essential, and you are now in a dangerous physical situation, so it is a medical necessity.

I got my period back after losing it for over a year as well. It's such a refreshing thought to know I will be more likely to have kids someday! You can do it! Be strong. Embrace womanhood and look at yourself for the innocent child you were born. The person who raped you was born innocent once too. Something corrupted his head--don't let it corrupt yours. There is a beautiful world out there. You can do this! I started by adding back margarines, cheese, egg whites, bagels. You can gain weight healthily. Just remember, you need healthy oils so you're not constipated all the time.

You have already made the first step--seeking help.

Good job!

well, i ALSO lost my period about 4+ years ago..i was a lot like you, I dieted and worked out every single day for at least 1-2 hours a day, i restricted my calories pretty low. and I still have not had a period!!! I have gained weight, stoped doing as much excersize, and i eat more >so I have the feeling I screwed myself up forever..and i truely want a family as well! the only  thing thats brings it back is complete hormone replacement...And I cant stand -it....It makes me feel AWEFULL...so I refuse to do it!
*i dont know what to do!
