detached retina complications

I had retina surgery 6 mos ago and cataract surgery 2 weeeks ago.  Vision has been distorted this whole time.  My question; has anyone noticed any effects mentally and emotionally from distorted vision: i.e. increase in stress, anxiety, inability to process info as quickly, feeling more introverted, any thing else?  Physically, has anyone noticed anything strange, like not being able to regulate body temperature properly, nausea, headaches, etc.  Am I going crazy?!?  Any info, web sites, articles, etc would be appreciated.

retinal problems and vision loss are *KNOWN* causes of clinical depression and mental fatigue.  your retinal specialist should be able to refer you to someone if you are experiencing these to an overwhelming degree.

My RD surgery was 2 months ago and I have badly skewed double vision.  Although my eye is getting stronger and headaches don't occur with the frequency they did early on, I do know you mean about how this situation can affect us mentally.  I do have one good eye, but I feel off balance (mentally and physically) all of the time.

Best of luck!
