stye that won't go away
hi am 49 yo female with dry eyes (as diagnosed by optometrist). i have had a stye in one eye for about 3-4 months. i have used hot compresses on and off, but now it seems to be getting larger and is irritating my lower eye. what is the next step in alleviating this problem?
has someone looked at it?
if it is not going away with conventional treatments...ie hot compresses, massage, possible ORAL antibiotics, etc, then it may need to be surgically excised. thats an easy in-office procedure for most surgeons...

i would just suggest continuing the warm compresses about 4 times a day and massaging the area gently with your fingers when you have the warm compress.
i am guessing that you have been using eye lubricants in the form of drops and ointment to relieve the dry eyes.
if you are still worried about it, then have the "stye" checked out.
