Chalazion: After surgery

I had a chalazion on my lower right eyelid. I went to an oculoplastic surgeon who removed it on Monday, just six days ago.  The incision he made was on the outside and after he told me that it was successfully removed.  What exactly he removed I assume was the "gunk" inside. I am not sure if he removed the casing that I am reading about that some surgeons choose to leave or remove.  My concerns are that now it has been six days later and the tiny scab from the outer incision is gone and I still see a small bump in certain light. If I swipe my finger along the lashline I can feel a small bump as well. I am concerned and so many things are making me panic. I trust the doctor I went to and feel confident that he removed it all, but what if I had two cysts that he didn't see? Or could the one I had filled back up?? I am a wreck. I am still compressing it 4 times a day for 5 minutes and using antibiotic drops that he prescribed for me.  I started cleaning today with Baby Shampoo to keep the area clean and prevent others. I am afraid to go through the surgery again for several reasons as well as worried about additional internal scar tissue build up.  Is this bump after surgery normal after six days and will it go away. My follow up is in two weeks.
Thanks in advance.. :)

The bump is normal. Even with incision and drainage and currettement there is still inflammatory tissue and granulation tissue. The small "bb" size knots under the skin often take several months to go away. So yes it is normal

thank you! I feel so much better.
Be patient, and remember to clean lid edges so you don't have another. Use something like Ocusoft foam or wipes.
Thank you again, I have been bringing the Ocusoft Plus wipes to work to use on the go. I have very oily eyelids.  I noticed that my oculplastic surgeon made an incision just a couple of hairs next to the original chalazion bump. He told me he was successful in draining. Any ideas as to why he didn't cut right into the bump??
Nope you will need to ask him.
Ok. Thanks
