eye blisters

Two months ago I had cataract surgery in both eyes along with lense inplants. The healing process in the right eye has progressed well. A week ago the left eye developed a blister, it became light sensitive and red. The optometrist confirmed that it was a blister and suggested I put cold compresses on the eye. He did not seem concerned. He stated it would go away. But it has not gone anywhere and it is annoying. What can be done to remove it or to get it to disappear? What caused it? Is it serious?  HELP!

Lose the optometrist and return to the Eye MD surgeon that did the surgery on you. I disapprove of Eye MDs surgeons that farm all their post operative care out to optometrists.

Who was your surgeon? Was he an opthalmologist.,You need the care of an eye MD. If you want a second opinion, find a doctor at www.aao.org.

An optometrist is not trained to help you with this.

I am not a doctor. I am a community leader her. A doctor will review your question.
