Adjustment to bifocals....

I just got my new Rx from the O.D. and to my disappointment no contact lens evaluation, all I got was a Rx for new specs as follows:

balance  +7.50, -2.00 cyl, x155 axis, add +1.5

My question is for anyone who wears bifocals or progressives: what is the adjustment time when first wearing the glasses? I've heard that for traditional line bifocals the adjustment time is pretty quick, but that for progressives it's a bit longer. I'm hoping though that since the add is not too high then adjusting to either would not be such a big deal. Any feedback from wearers of bifocals or progressives would be appreciated.

Go back if not adjusted to the new glasses in one week and get them checked.

Aspheric lenses can greatly improve the cosmetics of a high plus prescription by making the lenses thinner and flatter and reducing the magnification effect of the lens for onlookers.

O.S. HM (hand motion) even the low vision optom gave up trying to measure, haha

So, I'm really pleased with how things have turned out, sure my visual field is a bit constricted and contrast tends to be an issue, but I'm still very happy as far as the BCVA goes. Just a bit disappointed with the cosmetic issues associated with bifocals and a large plus RX, but I'm sure I'll get over it eventually.

I adjusted to progressive glasses immediately.  I've read that people who turn their heads to see to the side do better with progressives than people who shift their eyes.  I must be a head turner.
