After vitrecomy

Hi,  I wonder if i could have some advice please.  My daughter had a vitrecomy operation due to diabetic retinopathy and she is only 34. The operation was on Monday that was 3 days ago and they had a lot of old blood to remove also they did cataract surgery but after they removed the eye patch she complained of a black line across her eye,  i know it is early days but could anyone tell me if this is normal.  Thank you.

For most people this is long, hard, difficult recovery but take heart that many have made it through the process.

Use the search feature and arrchives. There are extended discussions on post vitrectomy recovery including many posted by the people that have had this surgery. realize that with this type of surgery it is impossible to generalize on a recovery; each of these cases is unique.
