Angle Glaucoma

My mother is suffering from Angle Glaucoma and she got PI  done in her eyes and the doctor seems to have said that she is fine now and should come for regular check ups. The doctor seems to have told my mom that me as her son have a risk of suffering from the same condition. Could someone let me know if I do indeed have that risk and what can I do to make sure I don't suffer the same.
Thank you.

Yes although the risk is low at your age it will increase as you get older especially if you are farsighted (hyperopic).  You and your siblings should see an Eye MD ophthalmologist yearly and tell him/her that you mother had an attack of angle closure glaucoma.

Your mother is at higher risk now for open angle glaucoma and should also see an ophthalmologist Eye MD yearly.
