Blurred vision after viral infection

TnF
This is a continuation of the unknown viral infection i got 2 months ago (https://www.medhelp.org/posts/Eye-Care/Conjunctivitis-going-for-on-for-3-weeks-so-far/show/3024034).

In short, i got a viral infection in my right eye 2 months ago and even after treatment my eye was back to normal in about 1 month and 1-2 weeks since the initial infection symptoms. While we did a culture test to identify the virus as chlamydial conjunctivitis it came back negative so we have no idea what virus might had caused this.

So after my eye came back to normal i've continued having blurred vision, which i thought would go away slowly but after it didn't i've visited my ophthalmologist again today. Turns out my blurred vision is caused by how he explained me (after looking in the scope) by dead cells in my cornea (several white spots, some in the middle) that are caused by my immune system trying to remove them. I do not know how this condition is called exactly, but i want to do further research since from how he told me it is a problematic condition that might not go away (or even get worse) but he prescribed me Maxidex (3 times per day for 1st week, 2 per 2nd week, 1 per 3rd week, then check-up again).

What do you think, and how is this condition of the cornea called?

Kind regards

No mystery here. Straight-forward textbook case of  post "adenovirus"  infectious corneal infiltrates.   This is a link to an extensive article that includes corneal infiltrates. These can take months to years to fade.  https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3086413/

thanks a lot, is there any treatment to accelerate healing though?
The steroid drops you are taking although not always work, sometimes cause side effects and can get 'rebound' after stopping.
