Can taking eye drops for glaucoma raise your blood pressure?

I was recently diagnosed with glaucoma in both eyes and prescribed eye drops to take 3x daily for the rest of my life. These eye drops are 1) Latanoprost and 2) Dorzolamide/timolol. A few weeks after taking these eye drops I notice a large rise in blood pressure (top and bottom numbers)..with my bottom number around 100. Can this be caused by the eye drop medicine?

That would be OK because by blood pressure is high.

That's a lot of medication for someone just DXed with glaucoma.  No those medications will not RAISE your blood pressure but both timolol and dorzolomide can LOWER your blood pressure.  Additionally can slow your pulse, cause wheezing and produce chronic cough.  JCH MD
