Droopy eyelid after RD surgery

I noticed my eyelid is droopy in the eye which RD surgery was done.  I had the gas and scleral buckle, it's 7 weeks today since the surgery.  Will my eyelid get back its normal size, if not is there a procedure to fix it?  I am concerned as it sometimes looks as though I am half asleep in the eye.

That is called 'ptosis".  It may be temporary or it could be permanent. you would need to let your eye heal and make sure retina remains attached. If still droop 4-6 months post surgery your retina surgeon can refer you to oculoplastic surgeon to discuss surgical repair.

Thank you, that puts my mind at ease, hopefully, it is temporary until full healing.  You are a Godsend, so happy I found this website.
Hard to handicap but at least 50/50 that it will improve to point where surgery not necessary.
