I do not discuss insurnce or costs with patients. We have specially trained insurance clerks that do that.

Sorry, you are right about the mix up, I had been reading, that if you have high myopia, then you should see a retinal specialist before you have cataract surgery. I thought it was a good idea that you had both cataract & retinal specialists in the same practice. I appreciate that the laser adds to the cost of the surgery but as I have Fuchs' dystrophy, the advantage of less trauma to my corneal cells is a consideration. How much difference does it make to the cost?

If you are referring to the femtosecond yag laser it offers advantages over standard cataract surgery but add in a major way to the cost of the surgery. You may be thinking of Dr. Rusty Stout MD who was in our Discover Vision practice. His son Tim Stout MD is a retina specialist. None of my children are physicians.
