Wavy vision ever go away/improve?

Wavy vision post macular hole surgery (March, 2018) and Cataract surgery (1 week ago). I choose a long vision lense for my cataract eye (IOL). Distance vision is much better but waviness and small distorted spot in the center of words. Just wondering if this typically improves a lot or just a little over the next few months. Second question - are there glasses that can help this waviness or distortion? My vision is clear otherwise but I don't think I can rely on it to drive without some improvement or just relying on my other eye.

The cataract surgery probably made the waviness and distortion somewhat more noticeable.  Give it about a year and you may very well notice significant improvement.

Thank you!
