Concerned about lingering infections

I have had an eye infection now for about 3 weeks. It appears to be a small internal stye on my lower eyelid. My eye doc gave me amoxil by mouth and tobramycin drops. It immediately responded and was doing much better until about day 8. I went back to the eye doc and he gave me a z-pak to take orally and changed they eye drops to zymaxid. I am on day 3 of that now and am worried it isnt responding like it should. I still have some pain (which as lessened), but I have had a big bag of fluid under my eyelid. I have been using warm compresses as directed, but yesterday started a few cool ones to try to help reduce the edema in my eyelid.

I am woried about MRSA or something more serious than a stye since the eyelid isnt responding to treatment.

eyelid infections  or blocked oil glands called chalazion often don't respond quickly. Some need surgical drainage. See an Eye MD for a re-evaluation.

Update--- i can feel a hard nodule in my eyelid so I assume it is a stye but shouldn't it be responding to medication quicker than it is?
