Conjunctivitis

I contracted viral conjunctivitis, just came back home from work from the middle of my shift, I can't take the pain !

Any notion on the treatment ?

My right eye has been slowly getting red since Tuesday, on Saturday it's all red and itchy.  If feels as if grit is in my eye.  Today, Monday, it's still quite red, little less itchy and less gritty feeling.  I have been using Pink Eye Remedy drops, though it soothes my eye, it does not seem to help.  I have done hot and cool compresses and too it's soothes my eye but no improvement.  I have also used an eye drop with tylenol in it (comes that way).

Is this conjunctivitis/pink eye?  Do you have any suggestions to treat my eye~ and I have had pink several times over the years ~ sometimes in both eyes at once, and I definitely don't remember it lasting this long and this itchy

Any help/advice/suggestions would be very helpful

Go to an emergency room now or see an ophthalmologist tomorrow (a physician MD eye specialist). Viral conjunctivitis should not be that painful.
