I recently had an infection in my right eye and one day i started noticing double vision in my right eye. I notice it more when i wear my glasses. I have astigmatism in both eyes that is corrected by my glasses but not my contacts and surprisingly i'm able to see properly with contacts in my right eye. Infection was treaded with some eye drops and it went away. Then my ophthalmologist couldn't find any scars, damage, remaining infection in my right eye that would explain the double vision so he prescribed me cromolyn sodium drops for inflammation. I've been using that for almost two weeks and no improvements in my vision. There is no pain or anything abnormal with my eye. I have a feeling my ophthalmologist doesn't know whats wrong and hes just trying different things to fix the problem without any success. There is obviously something that happened because of the infection. He calls me in for check up every week and it is turning out to be very expensive. Can someone give me some insight into what happened to my eye that would cause double vision( while reading i see a copy of letter underneath the actual letter)? Should I see a retina specialist or something? Please help me so I can bring your solution to my ophthalmologist so he can treat be more effectively. Thank you in advance!
