Cross Eyed Double Vision

According to my mom I have been crossed eyed since I was little. At times my eyes will focus on one object and if I am in the mirror I can focus them intentionally but briefly. I am currently 28 years old. Recently I noticed I would occasionally: see double really bad, one or both eyes would feel strained, and my depth perception would be really of for things near me(like catching a keys or a ball). The double vision gotten so bad I bought a cheap eye patch today which helps with the double vision. I covered the that was feeling strained at the time and it helps with my double vision. Is there anything I can do at home to help with my double vision and eye straib until I can see a doctor?

You need to see an Eye MD ophthalmologist in the very near future. Don't waste your time with a commercial optical or a non-MD optometrist.  With your history likely your are hyperopic (farsighted) and hopefully that can be treated with just glasses or contacts.   You could try an over the counter reading glass like +1.00 or +1.25 or +1.50 for near vision and computer until you get in to see eye MD.  They will be too strong for distance and if helpful just up close. (read/computer)  Use whichever feels better at the distance your read/use computer.
