Got Cleaning products in my eye

Whilst cleaning on sunday some kitchen cleaner splashed in my eye. I rinsed it and thought no more but it began to get itchy on monday and I woke up yesterday and today with my eye stuck together with gunk. I have gotten drops for irritation and rinsed with salt water but its still itcy. Do I need to go to the dock or will it clear itself out?

I called the poison control centre and they didn't seem to be that concerned by it, I then called my heath insurance Nurse line and they advised I go to A&E so will head there this evening.

Good, I hope you get one. You can also call the poison control center, while you are waiting for the doctor; tell them when this happened.
