I am 45. Discovered I had cateract in both eyes and had a panic moment and decided to have surgery. The first surgery was the eye that was the worst of the two. I didn't have any major issues, but I also was NOT at all sedated just numbed (they "forgot" to do the sedation) and in two weeks my vision was clear as far as shapes and colors but I could no longer wear my normal reading glasses and ended up getting readers. In speaking with dr office, it seemed like doing the other eye would make them "balance and I would be able to see.
Fast forward a year later and I deeply regret having this surgery at all. I have over the counter readers and where I used to could read my blackberry screen, I now can't. Where I used to could read a book, I now I have use my Ipad. Forget looking at pictures on phones...
I am curious to know if I may have received the wrong lens? I have not gone back to dr again as it seemed they were "done" trying to adjust anything and we were all frustrated. Am I just stuck??
