High Myopia both eyes R>L

Hi,
I have a preterm baby, born by 25 weeks, birth weight 850 gms. He was in ventilator by 21 days.
He gone for ROP at the age of 3 months. it was stage 3.
Now he completed 2 yr. Now he has vison problem. He is bringing all theobjects very next to the eye, but not for all the time.he can recogonise us and the objects also.
I take him to the ophtalmologist. he checked both eyes by giving sedation. he told me that he need to use the lense. the power are -10 and -25.
Is anyway or any treatment for this? he has to continue life long like this?

I'm waiting for your reply.
If you need more details or medical reports, i will send to you.

Regards,

Aslam

Your son should wear the glasses if the doctor has said that it is necessary. His vision will need to be monitored closely for his entire life!!! He faces a greater risk of developing glaucoma, cataracts, retinal detachments.
