High myopia

I have been using glasses when I was 10. Now I'm 31+ . For the last 4/5 yrs there was not much change in my eye power. But today I have checked my eyes and my left sided vision is reduced. From 2005 to 10 my glasses were -6.5 on rt eye nd -5.5on left, in 10 hv got -7 on rt nd - 6.25 on left .today it was -7.25 on rt -7.5 on left. I'm very very worried now , what to do? I hv heard that we should not use fully corrected glass as eye become adapted wuth over correction.I'm studying medicine at this moment and I hv a imp exam in front. Don't want do LASIK now as its very costly for me. About contact lenses I'm confused as one optometrist said because of dryness I can't use those and another said its not a big problem. Plz help me with good advice.

Thank u for ur reply .. I've solved my problem.. That was a over correction.. My left eye glass power is 6.5 not 7.5... All the problem I'm having now its because of excessive dry eye.

It would be important to have an ophthalmologist do a "post cycloplegic refraction" to make sure you are not over-corrected.  It is easy to overcorrect a younger person an make the glasses too strong.  If you have become my myopic there is no  option but strong glasses, contacts or lasik.  Studying is not likely to make you more myopic so study hard.
