How do you know there is a problem with scleral buckle

How do you know there may be a problem with the scleral buckle? I had this surgery May 21, 2009. Since then I have undergone 2 laser treatments to repair 2 tears. Laser zaps were over 500 combined. My eye flares up and hurts very badly. When this happens, vision is affected. Could I be alergic to the buckle after this long? What are the symptoms? What can be done?

1. Keep removing the exposed sutures.
2. Look on this page "Today's Pulse" and scroll through them until you get to Dry Eyes which I wrote and follow the suggestions to treat the dry eyes.
3. Take good care of your "good eye" protect it from disease, injury and live a healthy lifestyle.

No there is no time frame. The cataract should be a problem and your retina surgeon should say its okay for cataract surgery.

Is there a time frame to have a lens implant following 2 eye surgeries for a detached retina for the best success or does it not matter?

I am still debating about the lens implant surgery or to just wear a daily contact lens.

I am just trying to gather more information and appreciate any professional insight.
