New hopeful tx for patients with previous RK

Dear Dr. Hagan:
I just now discovered that a relatively new tx is being utilized for previous RK patients.  The tx is advanced surface ablation with miomycin C, an anti-scaring medication.  According to the study, involving 22 prior RK patients, All experienced significant vision improvement and there were no complications.  I am 67 y/o and am about +1.75 in my dominant eye for distance. If relatively safe, I would consider having the tx done in this one eye.   Doctor, would you kindly share your thoughts on this and let me know if you think it might be appropriate for me.   If any other prior RK patients who may be reading this have undergone this procedure, I would appreciate knowing of your outcome.  Thank you in advance for your comments.

As always, thank you for your comment.   I appreciate your mentioning Dr. Doane to me as he may be an appropriate physician to evaluate my case.  Best wishes.  Frank

I am fortunate to practice with a world famous ophthalmologist John Doane MD that has a multicountry referral practice of people that have had RD and have poor vision due to scaring and irregular astigmatism. Consequently I have no experience with the technique you ask about. I just refer RK patients to Dr. Doane and he deals with them.
