Jumping vision at times in corner of eye, what could it be?

Hi
Dr Hagan...quick background. I had a partial retinal detachment in nasal area of right eye last year Febraury 2017. I had a laser baracade to fix. Over the past two weeks I noticed on the periphery (corner) of my left eye from time to time throughout the day I notice like a "jump" in vision or a wobble or flicker in just the corner of left eye (not in central vision). I do only notice it when I am wearing my contact lenses vs. glasses and during day. I also wonder if it could be my contacts not fitting 100 % on eye?
I went for a full eye exam last week...(I mentioned this to optometrist). He did a very thorough eye exam using dilation and said that everything looked great. He said that jump, or flicker can be completely normal and not related to a retinal issue, but did not go into it. DO you agree with this? or have any thoughts? I am not sure I am explaining it great...it is NOT like the flicker I get when inside from lasered portion of right eye. It's more like a jump or twitch in corner of left eye. I have no new floaters or classic retina symptoms. I have become anxious and hypersensitive since my partial detachment.
Thanks

If you notice with with contacts but not with glasses or without glasses   then the problem would be related to contact lens. if it were your retina you would see the problem likely with glasses/contacts/without either.

Ok. I do not think it is def a flicker at all. I do not see it at all in dark. It seems like a jump in corner.  Hard to explain. Ophthalmologist said it’s common but didn’t elaborate. I wonder if anxiety can produce this as well?
FIrst of all you said you saw an optometrist not an ophthalmologist. Their training and skills are not the same.  Second you used the term flicker. Third you said you only notice with contacts.

I apologize. Yes you are correct. I did see an optometrist, I do apologize for mistyping that the second time. He did a complete dilation and looked in both eyes. He said he didn’t see any tears, etc and retinas looked good...according to him. Its very hard for me to explain, I thought I only see it with contacts. I wondered if I don’t see it with glasses bc they don’t cover peripheral like my contacts do. I may have seen it once or twice without glasses, I’m not 100% sure. It is only in light I see it. It happens only a few times a day...not all day long. It seems like a little jump when your eyelid twitches or perhaps indeed a little flicker. I guess I backtracked on flicker bc I never see it when in the dark and I assumed a flicker would be seen in dark. I’m sorry for the confusion
In addition, this was my yearly exam for contacts. I had seen a retina specialist for my 6 month checkup 3 weeks ago and all checked out fine. Thought that’s piece might help
3 weeks a normal exam by your retina Eye MD is probably the most important piece of information. If you need additional reassurance you might call the retina MD 's office and just state your observation. Your symptoms do not suggest a retinal hole or detachment.
