Left eye, strange pain and pressure

My left eye feels a little cold and is slightly swollen but not red. The inner corner of the eye is itchy and feels dry. I thought it was a sinus infection, but three days on antibiotics and no change. The other acute symptom, is when I run my finger along the browbone, as soon as I get to the end of the eye brow there is an area right there at the end of the brow that is painful and tender. The tender spot extends up at a slight angle toward the hairline. When I press on the spot at the end of the brow, the pain radiates toward the hairline. Also, when I squeeze my eye shut there is pain/pressure in the exact same area.

Thanks. I have an app. tomorrow, but you know it will drive me crazy for the next 24 because for the life of me I've been on the internet 3 times researching and I can't figure out what it could be.

I doubt it's a stye, because there is nothing acute on the lid and absolutely no redness anywhere. Although, you've definitely seen more manifestations of such things than I so I could be wrong.

I also doubt shingles simply because I've had the symptoms going on 5 days and no sign of fever or other shingles symptoms.

I also noticed when putting on eyeshadow today that the whole eyeball is actually tender, but still the worst part is the temple right by my eyebrow. It will be interesting to see what the doc. says. I'll post just in case anyone cares to know. :)

I would suggest you see an ophthalmologist. Ask your family MD for a same day referral. It could be a stye and in some cases shingles (herpes Zoster) starts like this. You can also find an Eye MD near you at www.aao.org
