Myopia in kids

Following is mentioned on my kids's myopia diagnosis report:
On AR for -9.75/-2.75@21  for right eye
               -9.75/-3.00@160 for left eye
NCT for 16.0mmHg for right eye
            14.0 mmHG for left eye
On examination of anterior segment within normal limit for both eyes.
On fundus examanination was find to have mild myopic changes both eye.
Patient is advised to constantly use spectacles and do regular eye examanitation every 6 months.

My question is:
With such high number (-9.75) how it's mentioned that ' mild myopic changes both eye'. Is it something contradictory.
Is something wrong etc?
Also what exactly '-9.75/-2.75@21' indicates. I can understand -9.75 which is spectacle number what about other parameters?
Am very concerned about my kid's eyes.. any help?

John, Thanks for your response.

Very concerned to know that my child is 'quite myopic' and has 'moderate astigmatism'.
Is having  ' mild myopic changes both eye' is cause of concern as it may go up as my kid grows?
Any precautions to take to minimise damage?
Is it very common that kids with high myopia will have retina issues or other eye complications etc in future?
Any precautions or treatment for astigmatism?

1. All myopic eyes do not show myopic changes such as thinning of retina, stretch marks, etc.  Thats a good thing.
2. The unit of measurement is diopters. Your child is quite myopic and has moderate astigmatism.
