Mrs.

After taking restasis for over a year and my dry eyes was not getting better the Dr. gave me lotemax but said only use that. Now after using it for 2 months only, he said I shouldn't have stopped the restasis.  Now I am really annoyed.....have I lost what improvement I may have gained with the restasis having stopped it for two months?  Should I be seeing a opthomologist rather than a Dr. of Optometry???

Start taking omega fatty acid capsules...for most people it will have a dramatic effect on your dry eyes...I had the same problem, having had iol implants and also a lasik touch up in one of my eyes...And it works much better then drops ever did for me...

It takes a few weeks to "kick in" so have patience  but once it does, even just taking 1 capsule a day will maintain it...it will create a nice lubrication for your eyes which you will actually see when you look at them...

You can use either: fish oil (if not allergic to it) flaxseed oil....evening primrose oil...take 1 or 2 capsules a day...It can be either Omega 3..6..or 9 all the Omegas work well i have found...

Worth a try...and remember i takes a while to start working....Good  Luck....

No, you really have not lost a lot.  See how it goes with both drops.

I would recommend an ophthalmologist.
