I am 44 years old and in good health. I had cataract surgery several months back and was implanted with a monofocal IOL for distance. Prior to cataract surgery I was 5D myopic. After surgery, my distance vision is ok but I am very surprised and disappointed with how bad my intermediate and near vision are. I am wondering if there are multifocal lenses on the market that could be implanted as a piggyback lens to improve my intermediate and near vision. Monovision is not an option because I have amblyopia in one eye. I have heard that Restore may come out with a multifocal piggyback lens in the near future. What about Clariflex does that come in multifocal piggyback?
Thanks!
