Nearsightedness in children

I adopted an 11 year old girl she has a prescription of -5.25 in one eye and -6.25 in the other.  (An increase in prescription of about -.75 in each eye over the year before)  How much worse is she likely to get before her vision stabilizes??  Is her vision likely to keep her from driving when she comes of age??

It's like trying to judge how tall she's going to be. Now way to predict. Yes she should see well enough to be normal with glasses and/or contact lens.
